Pench National Park, located in Aravali, Vindhyanchal, Satpura and Maikal belt, is one of the most popular Tiger Parks in the country.
Tigers, Wild Dogs, Wild Boars, Nilgai, Chital or Spotted Deer, Four-horned Antelope, Leopards, Langur and Fox are some of the animals found in the Pench National Park. Lush valleys, dense vegetations and swaying bamboo lines give you a magnificent view of the park.
When To Visit -
The best time to visit Pench is from February to April. The national park at Pench is open to visitors between 6 am to 10:30 am and 3 pm to 6 pm. The park remain closed during monsoon, July, August & September.

By Air: Nearest airport is Nagpur (Airport to resort is 95kms).
By rail: The nearest station is Nagpur (station to resort 88kms).
By Road: Jabalpur is well connected to many towns via regular bus service. Jabalpur to Kanha is 158 km. Buses ply between Nagpur to Jabalpur via Khawasa for Tiger reserve at Pench. Taxi hire from Jabalpur, Nagpur & Raipur to arrive at Kanha and Pench is available.
Places To Visit Around -
There are few places in and around Pench which you must visit or add in your tour –
Alikatta – is one of the few places in the country where every evening you will get to see the amazing spectacle of grazing herds consisting of thousands of spotted deer.
Chhindimatta Road - This road that branches off and leads to the huge Pench reservoir is a must see while visiting the park. It is an excellent area for spotting eagles and hawks.
Sitaghat - The spot is the prettiest location in the park. The best time to visit this spot is during summer months, as bushes with white flowers run all along the bank with flowers in full bloom.
Kanha National Park –
Located in Banjar and Halon valleys in the Mandla / Balaghat districts of the state of Madhya Pradesh, Kanha National park is one of the best places where you will find tigers in a large number in day-time.
The forests consist of sal, teaming with varieties of deer - chital (spotted deer), the majestic gaur (Indian bison) and wild pig.
The park is also popular as nearby forest were the setting for the "Jungle Book" by Rudyard Kipling.
Bandhavgarh National Park –
A wildlife treat for both adventure and nature lovers, Bandhavgarh located in Umaria district of Madhya Pradesh was the former hunting preserve of the Maharaja of Rewa and today is famous natural hub for White Tigers.
Wandering through the Park the chances of seeing a tiger are quite good. You may also enjoy seeing here nilgai, chausingha, chital, chinkara, wild boar and sometimes a fox or jackal.
The best time to visit this park is from November to June.
This is the location of a watchtower built by the park authorities. The roof of this cement watchtower provides and excellent view of the river Pench. The park authorities also offer visitors the choice of spending a night at this watchtower. It is quite customary to spot Bison coming down to the river here. Sometimes even a tiger can be spotted here .
